The Little Claymores Official T-Shirt

We are thinking about getting some t-shirts made for the kids, and adults too if interested, with our "The Little Claymores" logo on the front. We are waiting on prices but they will probably be around $8-$12 each (our cost plus shipping).

If you are interested please email britt@mctammany.com and tentatively let him know how many and what sizes. Once we have final pricing and ordering information we will get your finalized orders.

First Official Practice

What a great first practice. Thanks to Madison, Rachel, Michael, Ryan, and Iain (plus our older practice buddies Tori, Morgan and Lizzie) for a really fun and productive first practice. Shirley Holstein our gracious coaching consultant did a fantastic job of getting all the kids involved in learning some basic skills and learning to play together. I have some great pictures that I will post in a few days.

Due to personality conflicts with some of the staff at the CCSC we may move our practice location so stay tuned. We are exploring some more benefitial practice locations which I will post once the coaching staff has time to sort out all the options.

Thanks also to all the parents that are making it possible for the children to be at practice.

We only have 2 more practices until our first game. I am still waiting for an official schedule but as soon as I have it it will be posted.

REFEREES AND GENERAL CONDUCT

Referees have control over the game. It is our responsibility as good coaches, parents, and players to respect their authority. Even thought many of them are young and sometimes inexperienced we must support their decisions without disrespect.

If there is a situation during a game where you have issues with a referee's performance, please consult with one of your coaches and allow us to handle the situation via the correct channels. We have children on this team as well and want what is ultimately in their favor but it must be handled with civility and following league protocol.

Also, we understand your enthusiasm and support for your child's performance but overly roudy sideline behavior can be a detriment to every player on the field. Abusive or discrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. Remember, this is about having fun and supporting the positive development of our children's physical and mental abilities. It's not about winning or losing... it's about playing fair, with repect, and doing the very best each of us can do. Keep in mind that these are 4 and 5 year olds just learning to play soccer so it may be a bit frustrating... but with a positive attitude we will be able to inspire our young ones to greatness.

UNIFORMS

Our team uniforms are now available at Sports Mania in Fleming Island located at 1615-100 County Rd. 220 just west of Home Depot. The cost is $40 and includes a home (black) and away (red) jersey, shorts and socks.

NOTE: Sports Mania does NOT accept credit card payments for this particular transaction... only cash or checks will be accepted.

TEAM PICTURES

Team pictures are scheduled for September 22nd and September 29th. Once I recieve that actual date and time I will post the information.

By profession I am a photographer and would like to take my own team and individual pictures of all the kids. We can work out a time that will be benefitial to all of us, probably before one of our games later in the season.
